Come out and join local Sommelier Shawn Underwood on Thursday, December 12 at 6:30 as he talks about the dessert wines of Portugal, and taste some amazing Ports and Madeiras. In addition, he will be joined by Andrew Bopes, of Mon Ame Chocolate and Wine Bar, who will taste you on a selection of his amazing homemade chocolates. Champagne and Oysters

Do you like oysters? How about Champagne? How about Champagne AND oysters? Well, here is your chance to have them together, and taste a couple other wines that are simply made to pair with oysters. We will be featuring local oysters from Middle Sound Mariculture (who we are very excited to be collaborating with, tasting wines from different local "appellations"), showcasing why some people are referring to North Carolina's coast as the "Napa Valley of oysters." Our Gulf Coast oysterman, Matt Michalski, will also be joining us to talk about these delicious bivalves so interesting. Seating will be limited to 20. Cost of the class is $40.
